Kohila Gümnaasium is located in the small Estonian town of Kohila. But this town is very close to the capital of Estonia - Tallinn.

There are more than 900 primary and secondary students from the 1st to the 12th grade and more than 80 teachers and support specialists. Kohila Gümnaasium is well resourced with education facilities, a range of practical equipment for science, math, music, art and PE activities. It has a well-funded library and a modern sport centre.

The key objectives of our policies are providing high quality education, building a development-friendly learning process and supporting pupils’ creative initiatives.  

In taking up these objectives, we place particular emphasis on non-formal education, so as to promote the potential of children and teenagers of our community.

The Student Council plays a big role in everyday life of Kohila Gümnaasium. As well every high school class has its own responsibility in organizing different school events during the school year.

Entrepreneurship and business are important to our school. We have got  long-term experience in the management of study programs and student companies.

In the 2020-2021 school year we have 10 active student companies involving 40 students.

We believe that through discovery, exploration and creative expression our students receive rich, extended learning opportunities and become valued,  respected and independent persons. 

We have a dream to pursue our students to become global citizens with an open mind and ability to think critically and analytically. Our teachers wish to lead the students to become responsible and self-assured young people.
